There are three main types of skin cancer (as well as a number of lesser known skin cancers):

Clinic opening hours:

Monday to Friday: phones operate 8.30am to 4.30pm

Monday and Wednesday: late appointments available until 5.45pm

Closed weekends and Public Holidays

Procedures at the clinic include: skin checks, mole checks and removal when necessary, Photo Dynamic Therapy (PDT), wart treatment, excision of lesions, treatment of sun spots and treating fungal nail infections. We also offer advice on: how to check your own skin, sun protection, scar reduction and skin care. Our doctors also refer to specialist centres if required, for example, the Melanoma Institute.

We stock a variety of products: Strataderm gel for scar reduction, paw paw ointment to soothe and moisturise, Vitamin B3 (Nicotinamide) shown to be effective in reducing the rates of new non-melanoma skin cancers, and our popular skin care range by Environ and Klim by Milk and Co.

Southern Cross Skin Cancer is a private clinic. We do not bulk bill consults; however, we offer discounted rates for concession card holders (biopsies and most excisions are bulk billed). Medicare rebates are processed on the day of your appointment, please bring appropriate cards with you: Medicare, Pension, Health Care and DVA (restrictions apply to White DVA card holders). Referrals are not required.

Every year we host students and specialist GPs doing clinical placements, assisting them with their medical training from university. Students are required to attend clinical settings to observe our procedures, patient care and learn from our doctors.
